“Wow, what an absolute TREAT it was to stay at Mel and Scotty’s gorgeous property! This was a once in a lifetime getaway and the ultimate birthday celebration spot for our friend. Mel has poured an unbelievable amount of love and care into transforming this historic home into a dream farm mansion escape.

There’s no shortage of things to do here - soak in the hot tub, challenge your friends to a game of pool, sip cocktails in the jaw-dropping whiskey room, light up a cozy bonfire and gaze at the sunset, grill up a feast and dine like queens, or explore the farm’s rich history and beautiful grounds. We truly didn’t want to leave.

You can feel how deeply Mel and Scotty care for the land. One of our friends is now set on getting married at this extraordinary place! Mel, thank you for being so responsive and generous with your time - we LOVED the history tour. A core memory for all of us. x”

“Lawson's Estate on Macquarie Farm has to be seen to be believed - I'm always worried with Airbnb's not matching the photos, but with Melanie's place, the photos do not (or cannot) do it justice. We had an incredible weekend away at such a beautiful location, and everyone left refreshed and recharged - the beds were so comfortable, some of us swear we had the best sleep of our lives here.

All in all, we cannot recommend this place enough, and if we ever find ourselves out this way again, we already know where we will stay. Thanks again Melanie!”

“This place reserves 11/10 stars. It is an absolute rare find to stay with a big group of people. The place is decorated with high end touches and every room is so luxurious. The beds are so comfy and the linen and towels are of the highest quality.

Melanie is an absolute gem and helped so much with the preparations, from room layouts and floor plans, communication was a breeze, so responsive and friendly, we've received videos and photos so we knew exactly what to expect (and we were still blown away by how beautiful it was once we arrived). The dining room was more than we could have hoped for. The sunset over the stunning surroundings is something you can't capture with pictures or videos.

This is by far the best place we've ever stayed at with a big group and we're already planning our next trip. 10/10 would recommend and we'll absolutely be back.”
