Lawson’s Estate on Macquarie Farm
Lawson’s Estate on Macquarie Farm is a luxury heritage destination in the Central West of New South Wales, offering exclusive accommodation, a rich historical experience, and flexible event spaces for intimate or grand gatherings.
The history of the first European farm west of the Blue Mountains
Established in 1814 and originally granted to explorer William Lawson by Governor Lachlan Macquarie, this was the first European farm west of the Blue Mountains. The Georgian-style Homestead and two-storey Convict Barracks—constructed between 1822 and 1824—stand as rare surviving examples of early colonial architecture.
